No. Standard white office paper (80–90g/m²) is perfectly acceptable. You do not need glossy paper, photographic paper or any special format. The only requirements are that it is A4 size, printed in colour at full scale, and that all text and images are clearly legible.

What if my printer only prints in black and white?

Use a print shop instead. Most supermarkets, office supply stores and copy centres offer colour printing for under €1 per page. Simply email yourself the PDF and print it at the shop. Alternatively, ask a friend or colleague with a colour printer to print it for you.

My invitation arrived by email — is that the official version?

Yes. The PDF delivered by email is the official invitation document. It is not a draft or a confirmation — it is the complete, signed and stamped document with all the reference numbers your consulate needs. Print it as received — no modifications needed.

What if I lose my printout before the consulate appointment?

Simply reprint the PDF from your email. The document does not expire between ordering and using it — it is valid as long as the dates in the document have not passed. If you cannot find the original email, contact us at support@ivisastore.com and we will resend it.

Do I need to print both pages of the invitation?

Yes. The invitation consists of two parts — the Tourist Confirmation and the Tourist Voucher — both delivered as a single PDF. Print all pages. Submitting only one page is likely to result in your application being returned as incomplete.

I applied in China — can I use the PDF printout?

No. Mainland Chinese consulates of Russia require the original paper invitation — not a printed PDF. The exceptions are the consulates in Hong Kong and Macau, which accept a colour printout.
